Display counters are places where food is openly displayed to present produce in the best possible way. Part of counter design is to keep displayed produce at the right temperature, but also to ensure contact by the customer and the operator is well managed. Lobact is inbuilt into the body of the counter, forming a bacteria barrier.
Firstly as the recirculating air that keeps the produce “chilled” to the right temperature, air moves across the Lobact product to kill airborne present bacteria, which includes any human introduced microorganisms. As a result of killing airborne and/or recirculated bacteria, Lobact dramatically improves the quality of the food produce.
Secondly, it’s accepted that the easiest place to kill bacteria is in the air before it lands and forms a protective hard outer shell, in the same way plaque forms on our teeth. The reductions of 90% of recirculated microorganisms, results in a massive drop in bacteria settling on food produce, which prolongs quality, reduces softening and dramatically increases the quality of any take home produce.
Additionally all Lobact devices significantly improve shelf life and quality of food. Because it has removed bacteria from the air, less becomes present on the food, reducing softening and discolouration, keeping produce fresher and safer for longer.
